The regimes and policies for female cadres, civil servants and public employees are fully and promptly implemented by the agency. The Committee for the Advancement of Women coordinates with trade unions and women's organizations to celebrate International Women's Day on March 8, organize activities for female cadres and civil servants in the women's committee, listen to legal talks, go on tours , organize activities to care for female cadres, civil servants and public employees in difficult circumstances.
As an organization representing the legitimate rights and interests of women of all walks of life, the Provincial Women's Union has well organized propaganda andeducation activities to raise awareness of gender equality for cadres, women members and the people. Permanent Vice President of the Provincial Women's Union Hoang Thi Thuong said: In 2024, all levels of the Union will proactively promote propaganda to raise awareness of the implementation of the Law on Gender Equality, integrating propaganda of the Law on Marriage and Family, the Law on Prevention of Domestic Violence, Prevention of Child Abuse... with 146 sessions with 7,438 listeners; the Provincial Women's Union organized 2 point communication campaigns in Ngoc Dong commune (Ha Quang) with the theme "Prevention of domestic violence" and Kham Thanh commune (Trung Khanh) with the theme "Prevention of human trafficking" for over 300 attendees; 39 communication conferences on gender equality, eliminating gender prejudice and gender stereotypes; Launched 24 community communication teams in Trung Khanh, Quang Hoa, Thach An, Bao Lam districts with the participation of over 1,800 people; organized 22 competitions "Creative and effective communication models to eliminate gender prejudice and gender stereotypes at the commune level" with the participation of 142 teams, thereby contributing to raising awareness of cadres, members, women and the community about gender equality, for the advancement of women.
With the efforts of Party committees, authorities, departments, branches, unions, agencies and units at all levels, in recent years, gender equality work and the advancement of women in the province have had many positive changes. 6 target groups according to the orientation of the National Strategy for the period 2021 - 2030 including: Political fields, economy, labor, health, education and training, information and communication... have all been implemented to ensure the set plan. Typically in the political field, in the 2020 - 2025 term, the whole province has 1 female Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, accounting for 33.3%; 3/15 members of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee are female, accounting for 20%; 4/10 female secretaries of district and city Party Committees, accounting for 40%; 29/98 female comrades hold the positions of head and deputy head of provincial departments, branches, sectors and mass organizations, accounting for 29.5%; 101/248 comrades hold the positions of head and deputy head of departments and branches at provincial departments, accounting for 40.7%; 105/280 female comrades hold key leadership positions, head and deputy head of mass organizations at district level, accounting for 37.5%.
The proportion of women participating in Party committees for the 2020 - 2025 term: 24.53% at the provincial level, 26.6% at the district level, and 26% at the commune level. The proportion of female National Assembly deputies is 16.67%. The proportion of female People's Council deputies at all levels for the 2021 - 2026 term: 38% at the provincial level, 32.69% at the district level, and 26.71% at the commune level. In all positions, female cadres strive to excellently complete assigned tasks, meeting the requirements and standards of leaders and managers in the renewal period.
The implementation of the National Strategy on Gender Equality for the period 2021 - 2025 and orientation to 2030 in the province has been innovated in approach. Authorities at all levels and sectors have focused on synchronously implementing many solutions on mobilizing and allocating funds from the budget, programs, projects and mobilization sources to effectively implement gender equality activities, especially in the economic and labor fields. Competent agencies have stepped up inspection, examination, supervision and evaluation of the implementation of policies and laws on gender equality, for the advancement of women at all levels and sectors, in order to discover new models and creative approaches to direct replication; at the same time, detect difficulties and obstacles in the implementation process to promptly direct and resolve them.
All levels, sectors and localities continue to do a good job of communicating about gender equality; further strengthen coordination in implementing solutions to realize the national strategic goals on gender equality for the period 2021 - 2030. Do a good job of reviewing, supplementing and adjusting the planning of leaders and managers at all levels to ensure the quality, structure and proportion of female cadres in the planning. Pay attention to the work of creating sources for developing female party members; maintain and replicate models of safe communities, safe homes, safe residential communities, friendly to women and girls.
