On August 16-17, Navy Squadron 129 coordinated with the Department of Fisheries of Quang Nam province to organize propaganda for nearly 300 ship owners, captains and fishermen in Nui Thanh district, Quang Nam province.

Thoroughly grasping and effectively implementing Directive No. 32-CT/TW dated April 10, 2024 of the Secretariat on strengthening the Party's leadership over illegal, unreported and unregulated fishing and sustainable development of the fisheries sector, Resolution No. 52/NQ-CP of the Government , Action Program No. 2835-CTr/QUTW of the Central Military Commission and Action Program No. 2397-CTr/DU dated July 3, 2024 of the Navy Party Committee on implementing Directive No. 32-CT/TW of the Secretariat, Naval Squadron 129 coordinated with the Department of Fisheries of Quang Nam province to organize propaganda for fishermen in Tam Quang and Tam Giang communes, Nui Thanh district, Quang Nam province.

This is the district with the largest number of offshore fishing vessels in Quang Nam province, regularly operating in traditional fishing grounds such as Hoang Sa, Truong Sa, and the southern continental shelf of the Fatherland.

The content focuses on disseminating to ship owners, captains and fishermen about Directive 45/CT-TTg dated December 13, 2017 of the Prime Minister "On a number of urgent tasks and solutions to overcome the warning of the European Commission on combating illegal, unreported and unregulated fishing"; Operational results of the fishing port and fishing village in Truong Sa archipelago - A fulcrum for fishermen to go offshore and stick to the sea; Decree No. 38/ND-CP dated April 5, 2024 of the Government on regulations on administrative sanctions for violations in the field of fisheries; Resolution No. 04/2024/NQ-HDTP dated June 12, 2024 of the Supreme People's Court's Judicial Council guiding the application of a number of provisions of the Penal Code on criminal prosecution for acts related to illegal exploitation, trading and transportation of aquatic products.

At the Conference, the Navy presented 200 national flags, 200 personal life jackets, 600 leaflets promoting Directive 45/CT-TTg of the Prime Minister, introducing the activities of the ports and fishing villages in Truong Sa archipelago. At the same time, a survey was conducted on the people's opinions on the need to use fishing logistics services in Truong Sa archipelago. Thereby, effectively managing and operating the ports and fishing villages in Truong Sa archipelago, effectively implementing the program "Vietnam Navy as a fulcrum for fishermen to go offshore", improving economic efficiency for the people and sustainably exploiting aquatic resources.
