Viettel is giving away security cameras to all its Internet customers.

Accordingly, each Internet contract includes up to 2 indoor cameras free of charge. Customers can upgrade to outdoor cameras but will need to pay an additional fee of 300,000 VND per camera. Customers will receive free installation of the first camera (worth 150,000 VND per camera) if they register for a new Internet package from SUN1 or higher.

The camera equipment program applies to new customers who pay in advance (6 months or more) and commit to using the service for a minimum of 24 months. Existing FTTH subscribers need to register for a Cloud package starting from 40,000 VND/camera/month (for 24 months) to be eligible for the offer.

The standout features of Viettel cameras include AI-powered object and person recognition, sharp images thanks to H265 compression technology, full HD 1080p, SOS emergency call feature from the camera to the app, automatic 360-degree rotation to track movement, and two-way audio communication.

The included Cloud Camera service allows customers to store (unlimited storage) and review (unlimited times) video clips on the Viettel Home app for the past 7 days, 15 days, and 30 days, with corresponding fees of VND 40,000, VND 60,000, and VND 90,000. This is an optimal solution to replace memory cards/recorders, offering high stability and security, avoiding the risk of data loss in case of memory card failure/loss, recorder loss, or even camera loss.

Notably, Viettel's Cloud Camera service is among the cheapest in Asia and only one-third the price of similar services offered by other domestic providers. Furthermore, Viettel's Cloud Camera is secure thanks to its servers located in Vietnam, whereas some other providers place their servers abroad, posing a risk of data breaches.
