This is a very admirable action of one of the many medical staff who are doing it every day to give another life to the sick.
The City Party Secretary hopes that this noble work will continue to be widely spread so that all people will know and share the silent but noble sacrifices of the city's medical staff.
With the achievements, the City People's Committee decided to award a Certificate of Merit and a reward of 10 million VND to nurse Nguyen Thi Thao for her outstanding achievements in emergency care of pediatric patients outside the hospital.
Previously, on the evening of July 4, on her way home in village 6, Kien Bai commune, Thuy Nguyen, Hai Phong, Nguyen Thi Thao saw a man holding a 7-day-old newborn baby who had stopped breathing and turned purple... running behind was a woman crying loudly. With the intuition of a mother with a young child and a nurse with many years of experience, Thao handed her child over to her husband and helped the family take the baby to the nearest medical facility. On the way, Thao performed CPR, encouraged the mother to stay calm and cooperate, and asked the driver to drive quickly to Thuy Nguyen District Hospital instead of going to the hospital in the center of Hai Phong.
After receiving first aid at Thuy Nguyen General Hospital, the baby was transferred to Hai Phong Children's Hospital for further treatment. Currently, the baby's health has gradually stabilized and he is breastfeeding well. Hospital doctors are still monitoring, treating and waiting for the baby's health to fully recover before completing the discharge procedures.
