Certificates of merit awarded to 2 Van Kieu female students who returned property to American tourists

On March 11, according to information from the Department ofEducation and Training of Quang Tri, the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee signed a decision to award certificates of merit to two female Van Kieu students who had the meaningful act of "Finding lost property and returning it to the owner". The female students who received the certificates of merit are Ho Thi Hinh (class 9C) and Ho Thi Nhi (class 8A), Huong Phung Boarding Ethnic Minority High School.

Previously, on the way home from school, Hinh and Nhi picked up a stack of money worth 686 USD and cards bearing the name of Mr. Dourlas Royer, an American citizen. After picking up the property, the students asked their parents to contact the Huong Phung Commune Police to report and hand over the money and related identification documents to return to the owner. After being contacted by the authorities, Mr. Dourlas Royer went to the Huong Phung Commune Police headquarters to receive all of his property, and at the same time expressed his deep gratitude to the two students and their families. The Department of Education and Training and the Huong Hoa District government commended and rewarded the two students for their good deeds.
