On the afternoon of April 11, the Hanoi Department of Education and Training announced the enrollment plan for grade 10 for public and autonomous public high schools for the 2025-2026 school year.
Of which, 119 public high schools will have 1,763 classes and 78,400 students. Four specialized high schools will have 78 classes with 2,730 students. The remaining 3 autonomous public high schools will have 32 classes with 1,340 students.
For public schools, most schools have increased their enrollment quotas compared to last year, such as: Phan Dinh Phung High School (720 quotas, an increase of 45 quotas); Tay Ho High School (765 quotas, an increase of 90); Viet Duc High School (945 quotas, an increase of 135); Tran Phu - Hoan Kiem High School (765, an increase of 90 quotas); Ly Thuong Kiet High School increased by 180 quotas; Kim Lien, Khuong Dinh, Yen Hoa High Schools... increased by 90 quotas compared to last year...

The entrance exam for grade 10 high school in the 2025-2026 school year in the city will take place on June 7 and 8. Candidates must take three subjects: Math, Literature and Foreign Language. In addition to English, candidates can choose any foreign language among French, Japanese, German, Korean to take the entrance exam for all high schools in the city and still study the main foreign language, which is English.
Admission score is the total score of three subjects on a 10-point scale, without coefficient, plus priority and incentive points (if any).
Students wishing to apply to grade 10 of four specialized high schools in Hanoi will take exams in specialized subjects on June 9.
