Increase 2 million tons of coal for electricity production in the first half of 2024

In June, the whole TKV produced 3.28 million tons of raw coal, consumption reached 4.6 million tons; excavated soil reached 12.52 million ^m3 ; tunnel digging reached 22,022 meters. Produced 124 thousand tons of converted Alumina minerals, consumed 115.3 thousand tons. Produced 9.18 thousand tons of copper concentrate, 2,099 tons of copper plates; 885 tons of zinc ingots; 18.26 thousand tons of steel billets. In addition, produced and consumed 955 million kWh of electricity; produced and consumed 6,000 tons of explosives. Produced 15,000 tons of Ammonium Nitrate, consumed 21,000 tons.

In the first 6 months of 2024, TKV's commercial coal output reached 27.36 million tons, 52.9% of the plan and 111% over the same period. Raw coal production reached 20.61 million tons, 53.2% of the yearly plan, 103.7% over the same period. Excavation of soil and rock reached 79.96 million ^m3 , 52.1% of the yearly plan, 130.8% over the same period. The total number of tunnel meters reached 130,726 meters, 100.5% over the same period.

Coal consumption was 26.77 million tons, reaching 53.5% of the plan and equal to 108.6% over the same period, of which 23.47 million tons were supplied to electricity households, reaching 56% of the plan, equal to 112.5% and increasing by 2 million tons over the same period.

In the electricity sector, in the first 6 months, TKV produced 5.26 billion kWh, equal to 114% over the same period. Chemicals and industrial explosives produced 42,836 tons, reaching 58.4% of the yearly plan and equal to 118% over the same period...

TKV's revenue in June 2024 reached 15,824 billion VND. Accumulated in 6 months, the total revenue of the Group is estimated at 88,980 billion VND, reaching 50.8% of the yearly plan, equal to 106.6% over the same period.

In July 2024, TKV set a target of producing 2.86 million tons of raw coal; 10.71 million ^m3 of stripped soil; 23.21 thousand meters of tunnel. Import 1.7 million tons of coal, consume 4 million tons.

It is expected that Alumina products will reach 108 thousand tons, copper concentrate will reach 8,300 tons, copper plates will reach 2,600 tons, zinc ingots will reach 750 tons, steel billets will reach 19,200 tons. The target for electricity production is 815 million kWh, explosive production will reach 5,600 tons, consumption will reach 9,000 tons. Ammonium Nitrate production will reach 15,000 tons, consumption will reach 12,500 tons.

To complete the set targets, TKV said it will promote emulation movements, production labor, focus on directing production units to be proactive, flexible, boost production, maximize resources and capacity, strive to complete production and business targets in 2024; deploy programs to apply mechanization, information technology, automation, digital transformation to increase labor productivity, reduce costs, and improve production and business efficiency.

In addition, TKV is proactive in natural disaster prevention, search and rescue, focusing on completing environmental works, storm prevention according to the assigned schedule, ready to respond during the flood season; continuing to coordinate with a number of units to remove difficulties in implementing the 2024 business coordination plan; ensuring jobs and income for workers; increasing the use of domestically produced materials according to the direction of the Prime Minister.
