The delegation came to burn incense to commemorate the heroic martyrs at the Hill 82 Martyrs Cemetery (Tan Bien); the Security Department cemetery and offered flowers and incense at the victory stele, where the names of more than 14,000 soldiers of the Vietnam People's Public Security force who heroically sacrificed for national independence and reunification are recorded; visited the statue of Uncle Ho, the statue of the late Minister Pham Hung; visited the revolutionary base of the Central Office for Southern Vietnam (in Tan Lap commune, Tan Bien district).
On this occasion, the delegation also went to Thanh Long commune, Chau Thanh district, to present 150 gifts to disadvantaged students of 3 schools: Ben Soi Primary School; Nguyen Thai Son Primary School and Thanh Long Secondary School.
Each gift is worth 350,000 VND, of which primary school students receive 1 uniform, 10 notebooks, 200,000 VND in cash; secondary school students receive 1 school bag, 10 notebooks, 200,000 VND in cash.
This is an annual activity of Nguyen Cu Trinh Ward Party Committee to connect and bring love to remote, isolated and border areas.
