Sharing on the sidelines of the Ho Chi Minh City Friendship Dialogue 2024 on September 24, Mr. Pham Phu Truong, Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors and General Director of Global Integration Business Consulting Company (GIBC), commented that recently, the Government and Ho Chi Minh City have actively proposed solutions to support businesses in industrial transformation, including green transformation and digital transformation. This is a very important and strategic stage for Ho Chi Minh City in its leading role and helps Vietnam gain a better position in the world economy, while enhancing its competitiveness in the global market.
When participating in the Center for the Fourth Industrial Revolution (C4IR), businesses uphold the spirit of both doing business and serving, contributing to the overall development of the country and Ho Chi Minh City. As a strategic consulting firm, GIBC focuses on helping businesses understand industrial transformation in the context of the Fourth Industrial Revolution; recognize which technologies are necessary, bring business efficiency and competitive advantages in the market; support transformation solutions to create effective value for products, increase productivity and have future profits as soon as possible.

Sharing on the sidelines of the Ho Chi Minh City Economic Forum on September 25, Mr. Nguyen Trung Chinh, Chairman of the Board of Directors of CMC Technology Group, said that the 4.0 industrial revolution focuses on new technologies and businesses have many benefits when participating in this revolution. The first is the benefit in terms of changing the way production and business are organized, leading to improved labor productivity, creating many new products and services.
With the orientation of the Ho Chi Minh City Economic Forum 2024, if businesses actively and proactively participate in the revolution, they can improve production productivity by up to 40%, creating economic value of thousands of billions of USD. "If Vietnam knows how to take advantage of artificial intelligence (AI), semiconductors, blockchain, we can reap many benefits. GDP can grow up to 14% in the next 10 years, creating a value of 100-200 billion USD GDP by 2030", Mr. Nguyen Trung Chinh emphasized.
The 4.0 industrial revolution has major challenges in terms of human resources and adjusting policies and institutions to suit the changing production model. Vietnam needs to pay attention to human resource training policies, create conditions for new technologies to develop freely, as well as issue policies related to security and open data.
According to the Chairman of the Board of Directors of CMC Technology Group, Ho Chi Minh City needs to take advantage of the core tasks of the industrial revolution as a strategic goal. The city needs to build an industrial revolution strategy based on key technologies such as AI, semiconductors, blockchain, AOT, transforming from a smart city to an AI city, including applying AI to all aspects of social life, making Ho Chi Minh City a center for providing AI services for the region and the world. These are breakthroughs and driving forces for the city's economic development.
