Chairman of Tan Chau Town People's Committee requested agencies, departments and localities to continue to carry out socio-economic development tasks.

In the first quarter of 2025, the winter-spring crop will be harvested on more than 6,800 hectares, with a yield of 7.5 - 8.81 tons/hectare of fresh rice. Total retail sales of goods and revenue from food and accommodation services in the town will reach more than VND 4,000 billion, up 22.51% over the same period. The number of foreign visitors to the town will be over 15,000, an increase of over 8,000 over the same period.

Carrying out the construction of temporary and dilapidated houses for people with meritorious services, poor and near-poor households in the area, up to now, 120/151 new houses have been built. Political security, social order and safety, border security continue to be maintained and stable, military recruitment work reached 100% of the target assigned by the province, 145 young people have been recruited.

Entering the second quarter, the Town People's Committee continued to implement solutions to develop trade and services in the area. Paying attention to supporting key commodities and products with competitive advantages, such as: rice, pangasius, silver carp, brocade, tea, coffee... to expand to large, potential markets; fighting and strictly handling smuggling, trade fraud, and counterfeit goods.

Continue to tighten discipline and administrative order, improve the efficiency of organizational operations. Pay attention to the quality of handling administrative procedures at the reception and result delivery department.

Concluding the meeting, Mr. Nguyen Thanh Lam requested agencies, departments and localities to continue to carry out the tasks of socio-economic development; use public investment capital to ensure requirements, purposes and deadlines. Check the criteria and targets of communes and wards meeting new rural standards and civilized urban areas. Step up propaganda work for people and officials, civil servants and public employees to clearly understand the purpose and significance of the administrative agency arrangement project. The team of officials and civil servants in communes and wards continue to improve their spirit and attitude of serving the people. Implement the elimination of temporary and dilapidated houses for people by April 2025 to complete according to the set plan.
