On December 29, Lam Dong Provincial People's Committee announced that it had opened the entire Prenn Pass for 5 days for people and tourists to travel during the 2024 New Year and the 130th anniversary of Da Lat's formation and development.
Vehicles are allowed to travel through this pass from 9am today until 7pm on January 2, 2024 (from 6am to 7pm every day). Vehicles are allowed to travel at a maximum speed of 50km/h.
After this time, Prenn Pass from the foot of the pass to Datanla waterfall (more than 4km) will continue to be closed to complete the remaining items.
The police will set up checkpoints, patrol, direct traffic and arrange 2 rescue vehicles to handle any situations that may arise.
Prenn Pass is the gateway to Da Lat City, always with heavy traffic. In February this year, Lam Dong province closed this pass to implement an upgrade and expansion project with a total investment of 552 billion VND from the provincial budget.
On December 14, after 10 months of construction, the Provincial People's Committee organized the opening of the first 3km of Prenn Pass, from the Ba Thang Hai intersection to the junction to Tuyen Lam Lake. After being upgraded, the road surface is 14m wide with 4 car lanes. The road has been widened, creating ventilation and safety for vehicles passing through the pass.
