A doctor in Ho Chi Minh City's gratitude towards Quang Nam

Vice Chairwoman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Quang Nam province Nguyen Thi Thanh Phuong and representatives of the Department of Home Affairs of Quang Nam province recently visited and presented gifts to Prof. Dr. Nguyen Thi Ngoc Phuong (working at My Duc Hospital, Ho Chi Minh City) to support Vietnamese Heroic Mothers in Phu Ninh district.

Ms. Nguyen Thi Thanh Phuong said, expressing gratitude to the land with a long revolutionary tradition of Quang Nam, through the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Ho Chi Minh City, Prof. Dr. Nguyen Thi Ngoc Phuong has taken care of 3 Vietnamese Heroic Mothers in Phu Ninh district for life, including: Mother Nguyen Thi Tan (Tam Cam block, Phu Thinh town), Pham Thi Cach (Khanh Tan village, Tam Dan commune) and Le Thi Can (Ngoc Giap village, Tam Dan commune).

The annual support level for each mother is 14 million VND, starting from 2025, including: 1 million VND/month, gifts for Lunar New Year and War Invalids and Martyrs Day (July 27), each occasion is 1 million VND.

Funding is supported through the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Ho Chi Minh City and the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Quang Nam province.

Presenting money to support the Vietnamese Heroic Mothers, on behalf of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Ho Chi Minh City and Prof. Dr. Nguyen Thi Ngoc Phuong, Vice President of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the province Nguyen Thi Thanh Phuong sent her warm regards and expressed her deep gratitude for the great contributions and sacrifices of the mothers and their families in the struggle for national independence, national reunification and protection of the Fatherland.

It is known that Phu Ninh district has 1,118 Vietnamese Heroic Mothers, of which 22 are still alive and are being cared for by agencies and units for life.

Prof. Dr. Nguyen Thi Ngoc Phuong (born in 1944), former Director of Tu Du Hospital, Ho Chi Minh City, is one of the leading obstetricians in Vietnam.
