Tam Ky invests in infrastructure connection and urban beautification of provincial capital

Responsible community, creating favorable conditions for budget investment at all levels and mobilizing people's contributions for infrastructure connection and urban beautification, on October 4, 2021, Tam Ky City People's Council issued Resolution No. 269 regulating the support rate from the city, commune and ward budgets for the period 2021 - 2025.

According to the city government's assessment, after more than 2 years of implementing investment support, it has created initiative for localities in implementing upgrading, renovating, and connecting technical infrastructure in the area.

Along with that, contributing to promoting socialization, creating high consensus among the people, joining hands to build an increasingly civilized urban area.

According to the report of Tam Ky City People's Committee, from 2022 to 2024, the city will carry out 164 projects with a total investment of 282 billion VND; of which the city will support 182.5 billion VND from land fund exploitation, 93 billion VND from local counterpart capital and nearly 6 billion VND from socialized sources, not to mention the funding from socialized compensation and site clearance.

With the city's strong direction and local participation, up to now, 98 projects have been completed, 30 projects are being accelerated, and 36 projects are in the stage of completing investment procedures and site clearance.

Notably, in the process of implementing infrastructure projects, socialization work and mobilizing people's contributions have achieved many positive results.

From 2022 to now, there have been a total of 78 projects implementing socialized compensation and site clearance with the land area donated by the people to the State reaching nearly ^21,500m2 . In addition, 86 projects have been implemented with socialization, with people contributing 5% of the total investment with an amount of nearly 6 billion VND.

Hoa Huong Ward is one of the typical localities in the movement of donating land to open roads. Most recently, 56 households in Huong Tra Tay block donated 2,500m2 of land to widen the N24 canal with a cross-section of 11.5m, creating a clear road serving the people and tourism .

Tam Ky City People's Council has just organized a supervision of the implementation of Resolution No. 269 and evaluated that after more than 2 years, the invested projects have been effective, solving urgent needs and receiving positive responses from the people.

According to Mr. Duong Van Chi - Vice Chairman of Tam Ky City People's Council, in the coming time, in addition to overcoming some limitations and problems such as slow construction progress, inadequate resources, etc., it is necessary to increase investment from the city budget for traffic and drainage projects.

Regarding site clearance, promote propaganda and mobilize people to respond to the socialization policy; at the same time, strictly handle cases of non-compliance according to the law.

Communes and wards need to proactively review and survey investment portfolios, prioritize urgent projects among the people, and promote local socio -economic development.
