On April 11, Ia Grai District Police informed that they had decided to temporarily detain NTBN (born in 1990, residing in Pleiku City) and PTT (born in 1995, residing in Ia Yok Commune, Ia Grai District), both civil servants of the Department of Natural Resources and Environment of Ia Grai District, to investigate the act of accepting bribes.
At the same time, the police also detained Duong Quynh Tr. (32 years old, freelance worker, residing in Ia Kha town, Ia Grai district) to investigate the act of bribery brokerage.
According to the initial investigation, through the work of receiving and handling people's crime reports, the Investigation Police Agency discovered that Tr. repeatedly gave money to the above two officials to quickly process documents in the land sector (from 2021 to 2023), each time giving from 1 to 2.5 million VND/document.
After the two civil servants were detained, the People's Committee of Ia Grai district sent a document requesting the Department of Natural Resources and Environment and the Department of Internal Affairs of the district not to assign tasks to the two civil servants N. and T. to serve the investigation.
The case is being further investigated by the police.
