DTO - Implementing Plan No. 458 dated October 28, 2024 of the Provincial People's Committee on organizing Sports Festivals at all levels and the 10th Dong Thap Provincial Sports Festival in 2026, the People's Committees of districts and cities have issued plans and documents directing the implementation of organizing Sports Festivals at all levels in the locality. Up to now, 10 communes, wards and towns of 7 districts and cities have organized Sports Festivals at the commune level (Hong Ngu City and districts: Tan Hong, Cao Lanh, Thap Muoi, Lap Vo, Lai Vung, Chau Thanh).

Pursuant to Official Dispatch No. 974 dated March 11, 2025 of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism on guidance for Sports Congresses at all levels in the new situation, the Provincial People's Committee requests the People's Committees of districts and cities to temporarily suspend the organization of Sports Congresses at the commune level and stop organizing Sports Congresses at the district level.

The Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism studies and advises the Provincial People's Committee to adjust and amend Plan No. 358 dated October 28, 2024 of the Provincial People's Committee on organizing Sports Festivals at all levels and the 10th Dong Thap Provincial Sports Festival in 2026 in accordance with the actual situation.

After completing the merger of administrative units, based on the Central's directive documents, the Provincial People's Committee guides localities to develop plans, issue regulations on organizing grassroots sports festivals and plans to participate in provincial sports festivals that are appropriate, effective, and achieve the set goals.
