On the afternoon of April 23, the Thanh Hoa Department of Transport issued Notice No. 27/TB-SGTVT on the temporary suspension of operations at the two intersections of Dong Thang (Trieu Son) and Thieu Giang (Thieu Hoa) on the North-South expressway, East section Mai Son - National Highway 45.

At the request of Thang Long Project Management Board (Investor of Dong Thang Intersection) in Document No. 686/BQLDATL-MSQL45, dated April 15, 2024, Thieu Hoa District People's Committee (Investor of Thieu Giang Intersection) in Document No. 1358/UBND-BQLDA, dated April 16, 2024, Thanh Hoa Department of Transport issued Notice No. 24/TB-SGTVT, dated April 17, 2024 on the exploitation of Dong Thang and Thieu Giang intersections on the North-South Expressway, Eastern section, from 09:00 on April 19, 2024.

Thieu Giang (Thieu Hoa) intersection temporarily stops operating.

However, through inspection and supervision, the Thanh Hoa Department of Transport, the Thang Long Project Management Board and the People's Committee of Thieu Hoa district found that there were some shortcomings in traffic safety that needed to be repaired and improved to ensure safe operation at the two above-mentioned intersections.

At the same time, the Thang Long Project Management Board issued Document No. 714/BQLDATL-MSQL45, dated April 19, 2024, adjusting the opening time of Dong Thang intersection to complete the procedures for putting it into operation. Therefore, the Thanh Hoa Department of Transport, the Thang Long Project Management Board, and the People's Committee of Thieu Hoa district agreed to temporarily suspend the operation of Dong Thang and Thieu Giang intersections for repair and completion to ensure traffic safety.

Thanh Hoa Department of Transport will request investors of intersections to urgently complete the construction to put the intersections into operation as soon as possible.

At Dong Thang intersection (Trieu Son), the construction unit blocked the road and temporarily stopped exploitation.
