Goodbye to Truong Sa, in tears and smiles...

Báo Thanh niênBáo Thanh niên27/01/2024

It is touching to see people who are strong and brave at the forefront to protect the sovereignty of the sea and islands of the Fatherland can shed tears when saying goodbye to each other, some returning to the mainland after completing their mission, some staying in Truong Sa...
Joining the working delegation to visit and wish the soldiers and people on Truong Sa archipelago a happy new year at the end of the year of the Cat, Thanh Nien witnessed emotional farewells when the working delegation left the islands, as well as when the officers and soldiers completed their missions on the islands and returned to the mainland.

Coming and going is normal, especially for soldiers, but in Truong Sa it is special and can "cause long-lasting memories"...

These pictures were taken on Da Tay A Island, when some officers and soldiers completed their missions and transferred to other jobs or were discharged from the army. In the atmosphere of the last days of the year, when Tet is near, it is very touching to witness the farewell of people who have fought side by side in the undulating waves of the East Sea to protect the sovereignty of the sea and islands of the Fatherland. Some returned to their families, or transferred to new units, some stayed at Da Tay A, all were moved, tears mixed with smiles. How could one not be moved, when they had lived together in hardship, lacked affection and became close friends. Watching them through the camera viewfinder, Thanh Nien Newspaper reporters felt their eyes sting. Where in this country can human love, love of compatriots, love of comrades be as warm and complete as in Truong Sa?

To see off those leaving the island, the people of Da Tay A dressed up and lined up in front of the port gate.
