Regarding the case of a driver driving a car at 210km/h on the My Thuan - Can Tho highway that caused a stir on social networks, on the morning of January 6, speaking with Dan Tri reporter, a representative of the Traffic Police Department (Ministry of Public Security) said that the Highway Traffic Control Patrol Team No. 7 (Traffic Police Department) had invited this driver to come in for questioning.

At the same time, the unit also drew up a record of the driver's violation.

Accordingly, the identity of the driver of the Mercedes car mentioned above is Mr. NHGB (born in 1987, from An Giang). The Mercedes car that Mr. NHGB drove at a speed of 210km/h had the license plate 51G-410.xx.

At the police station, the NHGB driver admitted to driving at high speed. The police also discovered that the driver was using a driver’s license that had expired since February 2015.

"Mr. B. was fined for driving a car at a speed exceeding the prescribed speed limit by more than 35km/h and his driver's license had expired for more than 3 months. Driver B. will be fined from 10 to 12 million VND for speeding and 10 to 12 million VND for using a driver's license that has expired for 3 months or more," informed a representative of the Traffic Police Department.

According to the Traffic Police Department, at around 9:35 p.m. on December 31, driver B. was driving on the My Thuan - Can Tho Expressway. When reaching around km128+300, the male driver accelerated to a speed of 210 km/h. Meanwhile, the maximum speed allowed on the expressway is 90 km/h.

Previously, a clip over 5 minutes long appeared on social media recording a man driving a car, allegedly traveling on the My Thuan - Can Tho highway at a speed of up to 210km/h.

According to the clip, there were at least two people in the car, one driving and one filming. The car was driving at night, speeding and overtaking many vehicles in the same direction.

At one point, the male driver was driving while holding a recording device to record the speedometer on the car and the road ahead.
