After HAGL and Viettel Club changed their names to LP Bank HAGL and The Cong Viettel, respectively, Binh Dinh Club has also requested permission to change its name. According to the official announcement from Binh Dinh Club, this team will be named MerryLand Quy Nhon Binh Dinh from December 1, after receiving approval from the Vietnam Football Federation (VFF).

Since the beginning of the season, this is the second time Binh Dinh Club has changed its name. Before the 2023 - 2024 season started, the martial arts team was named Topenland Binh Dinh. However, when the sponsor Topenland withdrew, the team was renamed Quy Nhon Binh Dinh Club. In the difficult context, Binh Dinh Club has made efforts to find a new sponsor to ensure the team's continued operations. Accordingly, the name change to MerryLand Quy Nhon Binh Dinh is part of the team's obligation to the new sponsor.
Despite facing many difficulties in terms of personnel, when coach Nguyen Duc Thang and many players left after the 2023 season, Binh Dinh Club still had a good start in V-League 2023 - 2024. Coach Bui Doan Quang Huy's team won 1 match (3-0 against HAGL), drew 1 match (1-1 against Hanoi Police Club) and lost 1 match (0-2 against Binh Duong Club). The martial arts team still retains many key players in the squad, notably goalkeeper Dang Van Lam, center back Adriano Schmidt, midfielders Cao Van Trien, Do Van Thuan, striker Ha Duc Chinh...
Dang Van Lam is still a key player with stable performance for the martial arts team.
Binh Dinh FC is currently ranked 8th in the V-League standings, with 4 points. In round 4, the team from the land of martial arts will have a difficult away trip to Hanoi FC's field at 7:15 p.m. on December 3.
