Multiple accidents on Noi Bai-Lao Cai highway: 11 cars damaged

At 6:30 p.m. on April 21, at Km16 of Noi Bai-Lao Cai Expressway (from Lao Cai to Hanoi , in Binh Xuyen district, Vinh Phuc province), a series of traffic accidents occurred between cars while traveling.

In this accident, initial damage was determined to be 11 damaged cars, no human casualties.

According to witnesses, vehicles including cars, trucks, buses, etc. were traveling when they were suddenly backed up. A truck could not control its speed and crashed into another vehicle on the road, causing many drivers driving close together to not be able to brake in time, causing a chain reaction accident.

At the scene, at least 3 cars, 1 passenger car, 1 truck and 1 tractor trailer were severely damaged; of which, the 2.5-ton truck had its cabin completely deformed, and the KIA car also had its rear end deformed.

A representative of the Traffic Police Department of Vinh Phuc Province Police said that when the accident occurred, the provincial Traffic Police coordinated with functional units to resolve arising problems and incidents, guide and direct traffic... to quickly stabilize the situation and initially determined that 11 cars were collided and damaged.

At about 9:00 p.m. the same day, there was no longer traffic congestion at the accident site.

At around 10:30 p.m. the same day, authorities were still at the scene to rescue, verify, and investigate the cause of the accident.
