According to the Traffic Safety Committee of Kim Thanh district, as of December 14, 2024, there were 27 traffic accidents in the district, killing 14 people and injuring 22 people. Compared to the same period in 2023, there were 15 more cases, 7 more deaths and 15 more injuries. Kim Thanh is the locality with the second highest number of traffic accidents, deaths and injuries in the province (after Hai Duong city).

Some routes where collisions and traffic accidents frequently occur are National Highway 5 (through the district), National Highway 17B...

Also during the period, Kim Thanh district authorities fined over 1,500 cases of traffic safety violations with a total fine of over VND5 billion; detained nearly 600 vehicles, and revoked driving licenses in over 500 cases.

According to the Traffic Safety Committee of Kim Thanh district, although the authorities, units and localities have implemented many solutions to ensure traffic safety, the traffic accident situation in the area still tends to increase. The reason is that the number of vehicles participating in traffic has increased, while the infrastructure is not unified, synchronous and modern, meeting the requirements of ensuring traffic safety; the awareness of a part of traffic participants, especially teenagers, is not high...
