The book has just been republished by Kim Dong Publishing House on the occasion of the 120th anniversary of the birth of General Secretary Tran Phu (May 1, 1904 - May 1, 2024).

In nearly 200 pages of memoirs, writer Son Tung recounted the most important milestones in the 27 brilliant springs of General Secretary Tran Phu's life (1904 - 1931).

Nine chapters of the book tell readers about Tran Phu's life, from the time he was a 4-year-old boy who witnessed his father - district official Tran Van Pho hang himself to fight against the oppression of the French colonialists on our people.

Until the brilliant years of a life devoted to the revolution of the excellent young man Tran Phu.

Readers get to know an excellent student Tran Phu, a young man full of desire to find a revolutionary path to liberate his nation, who found his comrades, completed the Political Platform , and was elected the first General Secretary of the Party.

When the book was first published in 1980, writer Son Tung shared that while searching for documents about President Ho's life, he also learned about contemporary revolutionaries who had met and worked with him.

That is the reason why he has a lot of documents and accumulates enough to write about Tran Phu, the person he calls "The shooting star at the front of the team".

Writer Son Tung has persistently collected documents, met witnesses... connected the details to build a true and complete portrait of Tran Phu.
