I am not a person who is knowledgeable or passionate about music , but music often comes to me very coincidentally and stays in me naturally when I encounter beautiful lyrics in a beautiful melody. The song "The Blue of Time" composed by musician Duong Quang Hung from the poem of the same name by the late poet Nguyen Trung Hieu is an example. For a long time, I always hummed to myself the lyrics in this song: "In the cruel pain, I understand your heart more / The person who prolongs the rhythm of everyday life, we easily forget...".

I learned that, during a hospital stay, poet Nguyen Trung Hieu was so moved by the devoted care of the doctors and nurses that he wrote the poem “The Blue of Time” as a tribute to them and it seemed like a predestined relationship, doctor - musician Duong Quang Hung immediately accepted the poem and brought music to the poem to take flight. The loving soul of doctor - musician Duong Quang Hung deeply penetrated the poet's message to the doctors who silently work day and night by the bedside.

In this song, Duong Quang Hung kept almost the entire meaning of the poem, but the accents of a professional musician made the lyrics more poignant: "Sometimes we are unintentional/ Sometimes we are unintentional/ Let a day stay/ Sometimes we are unintentional/ Sometimes you are unintentional/ Let a day stay...". Perhaps Duong Quang Hung wants to affirm that the "sometimes" we or you "let a day stay" is the day everyone "understands your heart better", "in the cruel pain"? Because, as a physician, more than anyone else, doctor Duong Quang Hung understands and agrees with the poet's intention when "normally we easily forget" those who have devoted their whole lives to choosing a difficult profession with the wish to "prolong life" for everyone. Perhaps this is the reason why the melody that resonates from the depths of the artist's soul, inside the white blouse, is so poignant and touching.

I love the way musician - doctor Duong Quang Hung makes music, erases all boundaries between verses, uses music to connect the verses and intentionally repeats a certain poetic idea, he naturally tells the story of the soul of the patient - poet and the healer - musician: "In the cruel pain, I understand your heart more / The person who prolongs the rhythm of everyday life that we easily forget / Half of you in me makes my life less painful / Half of you in me makes us always have each other...". The sublimation in creativity of musician - doctor Duong Quang Hung is most clearly shown at the end of this song, listeners can feel the romanticism and enthusiasm of the artist in the harmony between lyrics and music: "What a beautiful verse, green throughout time like the fragrant scent of flowers remembering the sparkling moon / Half of you in me like the sparkling moon". The musician added a few lyrics and changed just a few words to make the poem more elegant and emotional.
