Flights and trains in India's capital New Delhi continued to be disrupted today, January 15, as thick fog and cold gripped the northern part of the country.
This is the second day of transport disruptions in New Delhi. According to the aviation tracking website Flightradar24 , at least 168 flights leaving the Indian capital were delayed and 56 were canceled as of the morning of January 15. India Today reported that more than 100 other flights were also affected the day before.

Meanwhile, at least 18 trains to New Delhi from different parts of the country were also delayed due to dense fog, news agency ANI reported.
The Times of India , citing a forecast from the India Meteorological Department (IMD), said the current situation could persist in the northern part of the country for the next four to five days. On January 16, "very dense fog" will hit New Delhi, with temperatures hovering around 4 degrees Celsius.
Amid severe fog, Delhi airport has issued advisories urging passengers to contact airlines before travelling.
"Due to dense fog, flight operations at Delhi airport may be affected. Passengers are advised to contact their respective airlines for the latest flight information," the airport authority said on social media X.
