The Ho Chi Minh City Youth Festival was bustling with the youthful energy and radiance of 441 official delegates at the 9th Congress of the Ho Chi Minh City Youth Union.
The open space at the 4A yard of the Youth Cultural House (District 1, Ho Chi Minh City) seemed to blend in with the youthful atmosphere of the congress. The congress took place amidst the bustling street frontage with the sound of traffic, a characteristic of a dynamic city.
That youthful energy was seen right at the roll call space at the congress. As a paperless congress, delegates took roll call using facial recognition technology (faceID).
Along with that, all documents and interactions between delegates and the congress are via the application "Uncle Ho's City Youth". This application has recently won the 2024 National Outstanding Digital Transformation Award for the Ho Chi Minh City Youth Union.
Sharing with Tuoi Tre Online , singer Phuong My Chi said she was very honored and proud to be an official delegate at this congress. She said she was quite surprised by the enthusiastic, youthful atmosphere of the congress.
As a young singer, Phuong My Chi came to the congress with the message "Young people have reforms, innovations and are full of creativity, deep inside they always look to their roots, preserving the beautiful cultural features of the Vietnamese people".
Mr. Nguyen Ngoc Luan (Youth Union of District 12) was excited to experience the modern technologies used in this congress. He said this would encourage the youth of the city named after Uncle Ho to proactively adapt, learn and apply digital transformation skills in life.
There are many projects and programs discussed and considered for approval by the congress in the following working sessions of the congress.
The projects to celebrate the congress were to build a new school in Lao Cai province and repair a school in Yen Bai province. These were two schools that were severely affected by the recent storm No. 3 Yagi.
It is known that the total cost of this project is 6 billion VND from the mobilized funds of the program "Towards the North" and is expected to be completed in 2024.
