Using '.VN' domain name to develop digital economy

According to the proposed solution of the Vietnam Internet Center, using a national domain name is an effective tool to build a personal brand. Thereby affirming identity and reputation in the digital environment, creating a distinct mark in study, work and life. The national domain name “.VN” also contributes to the development of digital skills, optimally supporting study, research, expanding job opportunities, demonstrating prestige, localization, helping customers trust and connect more easily.

The leader of the Vietnam Internet Center proposed the solution of using national domain names as an effective tool to build personal brands.

In particular, “.VN” also promotes online business, helps to expand the market quickly and professionally, and reach domestic and international customers more effectively.

The program's goal is to raise awareness of the importance of a secure and reliable online presence with a national domain name website; provide comprehensive support for individuals and businesses in building and using digital services such as websites and emails associated with the .VN domain name, contributing to the development of Vietnam's digital economy through promoting national brands in the digital environment.

Speaking at the Conference, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Huy Dung said: To strive for double-digit growth in many fields such as industry and construction in the second quarter of 2025; to offset the economic decline from the FDI sector, it is necessary to bring science and technology and digital transformation into every corner of life to improve labor productivity.

Thai Nguyen has 1.4 million people, currently only 4,000 people have domain names, which is lower than the national average. To promote this content, it is necessary to have the participation of departments and branches to form digital citizens, digital brands with services using the national domain name ".VN".

The Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee assigned the leaders of the People's Committees of districts and cities to select from 3 to 5 cooperatives and individual business households in each commune that need to be present online for business, with priority given to cooperatives that produce and process agricultural products and send them to the Department of Industry and Trade to make a list of support in the key campaign to expand product distribution channels and improve economic efficiency. He assigned the Provincial Youth Union to strongly promote the dissemination of AI Popular Learning, C-Thainguyen, and the domain name ".VN" in the 2025 summer volunteer campaign.
