Overseas Vietnamese twins Thao My and Thao Vy helped Vietnamese basketball win a historic gold medal in the 3x3 event not long ago. Currently, these two basketball players are still part of the Vietnamese 5x5 basketball team to conquer the journey of SEA Games 32, currently competing in the qualifying round.
On the competition day of May 14, the Vietnamese 5x5 women's basketball team played 2 matches and won 2 victories against Laos and Cambodia.
Despite the tiring competition and the long distance, when basketball was played at Morodok Techo Complex, and volleyball was played in the center of Phnom Penh (2 locations about 25 km apart), Thao My, Thao Vy and their teammates still took time to cheer for the girls of Vietnam volleyball. Mr. Truong Quoc Man was also present to "accompany" his two beloved daughters to watch the final match of women's volleyball between Vietnam and Thailand.
The Vietnamese basketball team arrived very early. However, the third-place match between the Indonesian and Philippine women's volleyball teams took longer than expected. Therefore, the Vietnamese women's volleyball team had to wait until 8:30 p.m. to compete (scheduled for 7:30 p.m.).
Because it was late, Thao My and Thao Vy could only stay to watch the first half of the final match. The girls of the Vietnamese women's basketball team had to go home to rest to prepare for the match tomorrow (May 15) against the Singapore team.
