"Tam Giang Waves" Festival is held in Quang Dien district

(PLVN) - After 3 days, the "Tam Giang Water Waves" festival in 2024 in Quang Dien district (Thua Thien Hue province) attracted tens of thousands of tourists to visit and experience cultural, tourism and sports activities imbued with the traditional culture of the river countryside here.

The 2024 “Tam Giang Waves” Festival will take place from June 8 to June 10. This is a program in response to the 2024 Hue International Arts Festival Week. The main space of the festival is at the foot of the poetic Tam Giang lagoon.

Coming to this year's festival, people and tourists had the opportunity to participate and experience many rich activities such as: Food Trade Fair; Photo exhibition of the 2nd "Quang Dien Beauty through Photos" Contest; traditional cultural performances such as Ho Ba Trao, Hoi Bai Choi; beach cleaning campaign, activities responding to the beach tourism season.

Visitors also have the opportunity to immerse themselves in the vibrant atmosphere of sports activities such as: Boat racing on Tam Giang lagoon, football, beach volleyball, wrestling, volleyball, petanque, stick pushing, blindfolded om, kite flying contest on the lagoon, tug of war on the water... In particular, within the framework of this festival, for the first time, paragliding on Tam Giang lagoon will be introduced.

The “Tam Giang Waves” Festival is an opportunity to honor the cultural and historical values ​​of the district; introduce and promote the unique values ​​of the land and people of Quang Dien. This is also an opportunity for Quang Dien to introduce to tourists the potential for tourism and service development of the district with a rich culture, a land with a long history, associated with many famous historical and cultural relics and many rich and attractive products of the Quang Dien river countryside and the great potential of the Tam Giang lagoon system.

The joyful and exciting atmosphere at the "Tam Giang Waves" festival has contributed to spreading the beauty of the land and people of Quang Dien, connecting tourists to the locality; especially the discovery and experience tours on Tam Giang lagoon, the community tourism destination of Ngu My Thanh village, traditional craft villages and famous historical and cultural relics in the district.
