Song Ma "leaves no one behind"

Song Ma has a large terrain, the population is scattered across 18 communes and 1 town, the total number of households is up to more than 35,000 households, of which, 1,725 ​​are families of people with meritorious services and relatives of martyrs. Although housing support for poor households under Project 337 of the Provincial People's Committee was completed in 2022, in reality, in 2025, Song Ma district still has 96 poor households and households of people with meritorious services to the revolution living in temporary, dilapidated houses. Among them, many households do not meet the conditions for residential land, have incomplete legal documents, or have degraded semi-permanent houses. However, with the motto "no one is left behind", the Steering Committee for Eliminating Temporary Houses in Song Ma district and the authorities of the communes reviewed and established transparent records. At the same time, promote propaganda to get people to agree and proactively cooperate in building houses.

Since the beginning of 2025, the district has issued decisions to support the construction of 51 new houses and the repair of 45 houses, including 69 households with revolutionary contributions and 27 poor and near-poor households. The total mobilized budget is 2 billion 700 million VND, of which the district budget spends 1 billion 390 million VND, the rest from the "For the Poor" Fund of the province and district.

Ms. Lo Thi Lan Phuong, Secretary of the Na Nghiu Commune Party Committee, said: Since the beginning of the year, the commune has completed the construction of 5 new houses and repaired 3 houses for 6 families of meritorious people and 2 poor households. All houses ensure a minimum usable area of ​​30m2, a "3-hard" structure and a lifespan of over 20 years. The foundation, foundation, frame, wall and roof components use durable materials, absolutely do not use temporary, poor quality or flammable materials. Ensure that households have a safe, stable and long-term place to live, and feel secure in working and producing.

With great determination, up to now, all 96/96 registered houses in Song Ma district have been built and repaired according to plan. This is not only the result of drastic efforts in management but also a testament to the spirit of "mutual love" spreading throughout the community.

Leaders of Chieng Khuong commune, Song Ma district presented money to support temporary housing for poor households.

Mr. Ha Van Lanh, Phieng Luong village, Muong Hung commune, emotionally said: My family is a near-poor household, for many years living in a level 4 house that has seriously degraded. It leaks in the rainy season, and the winter wind blows cold. Recently, with the support of 60 million VND from the State, along with the help of relatives and villagers who contributed to the construction, after more than 2 months of construction, the new house is more than 70 square meters wide, including 2 bedrooms and 1 living room, has been completed. From now on, my family no longer has to worry when it rains or is cold.

The elimination of temporary, dilapidated houses for poor households and people with meritorious services is an important political task, demonstrating the responsibility and affection of the entire political system towards the people. Mr. Lo Van Sinh, Chairman of the District People's Committee, emphasized: The district has focused on leadership, drastic direction, specific and close assignment to each locality and unit, at the same time mobilizing and effectively using resources to ensure the right subjects, on schedule, contributing to improving the lives and strengthening the trust of cadres and people in the Party and State.

Currently, the district continues to propose to competent authorities to allocate the remaining budget of 2 billion 850 million VND to support households to complete house construction and repair on schedule, ensuring the goal of sustainable poverty reduction and improving the quality of life for the people.
