According to the Quick Report of the Steering Committee for Natural Disaster Prevention and Search and Rescue (PCTT&TKCN) of Phu Tho province, at 6:00 a.m. on September 11, the water level on Thao River (Red River) at Am Thuong (Ha Hoa district) was 27.90m, 1.9m above Alert Level 3, exceeding the historical flood in 1971 (27.32m), the river water was falling; on Lo River, the water level at Vu Quang station (Doan Hung district) was 20.99m, 0.45m above Alert Level 3, the river water was rising.

Preliminary statistics show that the floods have killed 1 person, left 9 people missing (1 person in Ha Hoa district, 8 people in the Phong Chau bridge collapse incident), injured 5 people; 280 houses damaged by fallen trees, roofs blown off (6 households completely damaged); 4 houses affected by landslides (Doan Hung district). To date, more than 7,000 households have been evacuated due to flooding. Of these, 4,311 households are in Ha Hoa district, 490 households are in Cam Khe district, 65 households are in Tam Nong district, 127 households are in Tan Son district, 206 households are in Thanh Son district, 178 households are in Thanh Ba district, 300 households are in Phu Ninh district, and 1,351 households are in Doan Hung district.

According to the reporter of Lao Dong Newspaper on September 11, in Ha Hoa district, although the river water has begun to recede slowly, there are still many places on both sides of the Red River dike where the river water has overflowed the dike, and many residential areas here are submerged in water.

Since the afternoon of September 9, military forces, police and local forces in Ha Hoa and Cam Khe districts have been building flood control dams on many dikes and actively evacuating people and property from flooded areas.
Regarding the response and damage recovery work, up to now, the Steering Committee for Flood and Storm Prevention and Control of Phu Tho province has issued 13 flood warnings on rivers; and released 10,500 sacks from the reserve to prevent overflow in Ha Hoa.
