Mr. Tao Minh Hung, IFPI representative in Vietnam, pointed out specific points in selecting the awards. He said the rankings are based on streams on international music platforms popular with Vietnamese people such as Spotify, YouTube, Apple Music, etc. IFPI also aggregates the revenue of the companies, thereby showing that the value of streams is different.

The Official Vietnam Chart is a weekly music chart sponsored by the recording industry to honor the most popular songs of domestic and foreign artists, based on online listening data from global music applications such as Apple Music, Deezer, Spotify, YouTube. More than just a data synthesis, the chart also reflects current trends and the continuous movement of the music industry in Vietnam. The chart is managed by IFPI, following global principles and methods of music charts. The results are announced every Tuesday on the website and on the official Instagram and Facebook channels of Official SEA Charts.
