Early implementation of trade union institution project at Dien Nam - Dien Ngoc Industrial Park

The trade union institution project in Dien Nam - Dien Ngoc Industrial Park was approved by the Provincial People's Committee for its master plan in 2015 and adjusted many times from 2017 to present, with many important items such as workers' housing, social housing, multi-purpose branches and executive headquarters.

According to the newly proposed plan, many items will be adjusted down in terms of construction area and number of floors, more suitable to actual needs and current investment capacity. Specifically, area A1 will be reduced from ^5,970m2 to ^4,375m2 and the number of floors will be reduced from 5 to 4; area A2 will be reduced in area to ^895m2 and also reduced from 9 floors to 4 floors.

In addition, the report also updates relevant legal regulations, clearly stating the role of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor as the governing body investing in trade union institutions from trade union financial resources according to the Housing Law 2023.

Speaking at the meeting, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Tran Anh Tuan highly appreciated the coordination between provincial agencies and the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor in implementing the project. At the same time, he emphasized that the construction of trade union institutions is a task of practical significance, contributing to improving the quality of life for workers, especially in industrial parks and export processing zones.

Mr. Tran Anh Tuan requested the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor to review and adjust the investment policy, especially the project targets, subdivisions, adjust the construction planning, commit to effective land use and project objectives... The provincial departments, branches and sectors and the People's Committee of Dien Ban town continue to review and promptly implement the project on schedule and in accordance with the provisions of law.
