Speed up technical infrastructure relocation, early handover of rest stop site
Deputy Minister Nguyen Duy Lam led a working delegation from the Ministry of Transport to directly inspect the entire Van Phong - Nha Trang expressway in Khanh Hoa province, with a length of more than 80km.
At the Co Ma tunnel intersection, the leader of the People's Committee of Van Ninh district (Khanh Hoa) said that the work of relocating power lines and solar power systems is being urgently implemented. However, there are still some locations that have not been completed.
Deputy Minister Nguyen Duy Lam (second from right) listens to a report on the implementation of the Van Phong - Nha Trang expressway.
Proposing that localities speed up the relocation progress and complete it in August 2024, Deputy Minister Nguyen Duy Lam noted that units need to proactively coordinate with the electricity sector and flexibly arrange power outage schedules to avoid affecting the project's construction progress.
Regarding the existence of some solar power transformer station locations affecting the project site, the Deputy Minister suggested that Khanh Hoa province continue to work with the investor and relevant levels to find a solution.
A working delegation from the Ministry of Transport inspected the construction site at Km367, Van Phong - Nha Trang expressway.
Regarding the progress of construction of the rest stop on the Van Phong - Nha Trang highway, the Deputy Minister requested the People's Committee of Khanh Hoa province to direct departments and branches to focus on supporting Ninh Hoa town to develop and complete the site clearance plan, and promptly build the station on schedule.
"If the rest stop site is handed over on schedule (before September 30), it will help ensure completion at the same time as the project.
Rest stops put into operation in sync with the expressway project will not only create a place for people to rest and recharge their batteries, and refuel vehicles after a long journey, but also contribute to ensuring traffic safety, economic development, and become a highlight of the local landscape," the Deputy Minister emphasized.
Strive to basically complete the project by April 30, 2025
Reporting to the Deputy Minister, Mr. Tran Dinh Tuyen, Deputy Director of Project Management Board 7 (investor) said that both construction packages of the Van Phong - Nha Trang expressway project are being simultaneously implemented.
The contractors mobilized a total of 30 construction teams (21 road teams, 9 bridge teams) to the construction site with nearly 1,400 workers and nearly 800 construction equipment of various types.
Dozens of kilometers of Van Phong - Nha Trang highway have been paved.
Actual output exceeded the plan by 0.2%. This year's project capital has also disbursed more than 53% of the assigned capital plan.
According to Project Management Board 7, the overall progress of the entire project has basically met the set plan. Contractors have made great efforts in implementing the construction work, closely following the adjusted construction schedule, with the goal of basically completing it before April 30, 2025.
The investor and contractors are determined to complete the project on April 30, 2025.
"Currently, there are still many essential technical infrastructure locations on the route that affect the construction progress, so we request the People's Committee of Ninh Hoa town and Van Ninh district to focus on directing units to relocate 110kV and 220kV high-voltage power projects, prioritizing key locations, and strive to complete before August 30," Mr. Tuyen suggested.
The Van Phong - Nha Trang expressway component project through Khanh Hoa is more than 83km long (passing through 4 districts and towns: Van Ninh, Ninh Hoa, Dien Khanh and Khanh Vinh).
The project has a total investment of more than 11,000 billion VND, and will start construction in January 2023.
