Exciting National Unity Day in Vinh Bao district

On November 9, the Chairman of Hai Phong City People's Committee attended the National Great Unity Day 2024 in Dong Loi 2 village, Thang Thuy commune, Vinh Bao district.

Dong Loi 2 village currently has more than 300 households with nearly 1,000 people. Thanks to the right shift in agricultural structure, combined with effective production and business activities, the lives of people in the village are increasingly improved. The average annual income of people is about 86.4 million VND/person/year, an increase of more than 15% compared to 2023. The locality has no poor households; there are only 5 near-poor households.

In recent years, Dong Loi 2 village has been continuously recognized as a “Cultural Village”. The movement of “All people unite to build a cultural life” has developed strongly. The rate of households achieving the title of “Cultural Family” is over 98%. In the process of building a model New Rural Area, the people of Dong Loi 2 village have donated thousands of square meters of land to expand roads and build cultural works. The work of maintaining security, order and social safety is ensured.

At the ceremony, the people of Dong Loi 2 village reviewed the history and glorious tradition of the Vietnam Fatherland Front in the cause of national liberation, national reunification, construction and defense of the Fatherland.

On this occasion, the leaders of Vinh Bao District People's Committee awarded the Decision to recognize the title of "Cultural Village" in 2024 to Dong Loi 2 village. Many collectives and individuals with outstanding achievements in the movement of the whole people to unite to build new rural areas and civilized urban areas in 2024 were commended and rewarded.

Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Hai Phong City Dao Trong Duc presented Certificates of Merit to collectives and individuals with outstanding achievements in the movement of the whole people uniting to build new rural areas and civilized urban areas in 2024.

The Fund Mobilization Committee of Thang Thuy Commune “For the Poor” presented gifts to households in difficult circumstances and to students who overcame difficulties to study well. Some households were given fire extinguishers to contribute to improving the effectiveness of the model of a safe village for fire prevention and fighting.
