The Chau Doc - Can Tho - Soc Trang expressway project is being implemented in Soc Trang province, including the relocation and renovation of 110kV and 220kV power lines to serve site clearance work.
According to the report at the meeting, the 220kV line has 9 power poles affected, including: 2 poles in Soc Trang city, 5 poles in My Xuyen district and 2 poles in Tran De district. According to the submitted design for appraisal, the plan is to build 5 new poles and renovate 4 poles, with a recovered land area of 1,520m², the total implementation cost is more than 25.9 billion VND.
Currently, the Soc Trang Provincial Land Fund Development Center has completed the measurement and counting, the localities have issued land recovery notices and are in the process of approving land prices. The National Power Transmission Corporation has agreed to receive compensation in cash to carry out construction as planned.
For the 110kV line, 8 towers were affected (2 towers in Soc Trang city, 4 towers in My Xuyen district, 2 towers in My Tu district). The total area of land recovered is 1,153m², the estimated cost is more than 13.5 billion VND. The design documents have been appraised by the Department of Industry and Trade, the localities have also issued land recovery notices and are completing the steps to approve land prices.
At the meeting, representatives of departments, branches and localities pointed out a number of difficulties in the implementation process, especially related to site clearance progress, relocation plan, payment method, payment form, auction, liquidation of assets after relocation, etc.
Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Vuong Quoc Nam emphasized the need for high determination to speed up progress and complete the project as planned. Comrade Vuong Quoc Nam requested departments, branches and localities to coordinate closely and fulfill their responsibilities in site clearance. Project Management Board 2 and the Land Fund Development Center need to coordinate with relevant units in handling difficulties and implementing work; support and guide procedures for asset liquidation after relocation. The Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee requested Project Management Board 2 to promptly complete related procedures and documents.
