Department of Health: Withdrawal of announcement of 3 laboratories that do not ensure biosafety level 2

Ensure biosafety for 3 medical facilities in Dong Hoi city.

Specifically, they are Medic Quang Binh Laboratory located at 15 Huu Nghi Street (Nam Ly Ward), Minh Anh General Clinic located at 81-83 Ly Thanh Tong (Loc Ninh Commune) and Quang Binh Friendship Hospital Company Limited located at 78 Huu Nghi Street (Nam Ly Ward).

The Department of Health withdrew the announcement of the laboratory meeting biosafety level 2 standards of Quang Binh Friendship Hospital Company Limited.

To implement the plan for post-inspection and supervision of facilities that self-declared their laboratories as meeting biosafety standards, the Department of Health has established a post-inspection and supervision team at the self-declared biosafety level 2 laboratories of Medic Quang Binh Laboratory, Minh Anh General Clinic and Quang Binh Friendship Hospital Company Limited.

After checking the records and observing the actual situation at the laboratory, the Department of Health commented: These 3 laboratories do not meet the conditions of biosafety level 2.

Minh Anh General Clinic self-announced that its laboratory met biosafety level 2 standards in early March 2025.

Therefore, the Department of Health removed the names of Medic Quang Binh Laboratory, Minh Anh General Clinic and Quang Binh Friendship Hospital Company Limited from the list of facilities that self-declared laboratories meeting biosafety standards posted on the Department of Health's Electronic Information page.

At the same time, it is requested that units overcome and supplement the conditions as prescribed in Decree No. 103/2016/ND-CP, Decree No. 155/2018/ND-CP; Circular No. 37/2017/TT-BYT, dated September 29, 2017 and self-announce after completion.
