Department of Construction conducts inspection

On the afternoon of May 29, the Department of Construction of Lam Dong province and the People's Committee of Bao Lam district (Lam Dong province) conducted a site inspection of an unlicensed townhouse complex consisting of 22 units in Village 10A (Loc Thanh commune, Bao Lam district). The inspection team, on the side of the Department of Construction of Lam Dong province, included Mr. Bui Quang Son, Deputy Director of the Department of Construction. On the side of Bao Lam district, there were Mr. Dong Van Truong, Vice Chairman of the District People's Committee; representatives of specialized departments of Bao Lam district and leaders of the People's Committee of Loc Thanh commune.

Through inspection, the authorities noted that from the beginning of April 2024 until now, after being reported by many press agencies about violations related to the above-mentioned illegally built townhouses, including 22 houses, of which 17 were built, 1 house with an iron frame and 4 houses with completed foundations, all did not comply with the provisions of the Housing Law and the Construction Law.

The authorities also noted that all construction activities here have been temporarily suspended. The inspection and supervision work has been directed by the People's Committee of Bao Lam district to the relevant departments and the People's Committee of Loc Thanh commune to be carried out regularly and continuously to ensure compliance with regulations.

After inspecting the actual site, the Department of Construction worked with the People's Committee of Bao Lam district and the People's Committee of Loc Thanh commune to complete the related records and documents to report to the People's Committee of Lam Dong province.

Previously, Lam Dong Provincial People's Committee directed Bao Lam District People's Committee to urgently identify violations, prepare records and procedures to handle administrative violations in the construction of houses in the above-mentioned areas and locations in accordance with the provisions of Decree No. 16/2022/ND-CP dated January 28, 2022 of the Government regulating administrative sanctions for violations in construction and relevant legal provisions; be responsible for resolving arising consequences in accordance with the provisions of law.

Lam Dong Provincial People's Committee also directed Bao Lam District People's Committee to organize a review and strictly handle the responsibilities of the leaders of Loc Thanh Commune People's Committee, related organizations and individuals in the state management of construction in the locality to let the above case happen in accordance with regulations.

Lam Dong Provincial People's Committee assigned the Department of Construction to regularly inspect, supervise and urge Bao Lam District People's Committee to implement the above content.
