In the early morning of October 27th, Typhoon Trami was still about 110km east-northeast of Da Nang, with heavy rain and strong winds on the islands and mainland. In Quang Nam , nearly 20,000 people were evacuated to avoid the impact of the storm.
8:20 AM: Quang Nam province evacuates nearly 20,000 people to avoid the storm.
On the morning of October 27th, the Quang Nam Provincial Steering Committee for Disaster Prevention and Search and Rescue announced that, to date, 4,412 households with 18,306 people in 10 localities including Duy Xuyen, Phuoc Son, Tay Giang, Dai Loc, Hiep Duc, Tam Ky, Tien Phuoc, Hoi An, Nam Tra My, and Phu Ninh have been evacuated to ensure safety during the storm.
Quang Nam police organized traffic control and ensured smooth traffic flow during the storm.
According to the Quang Nam Provincial Border Guard Command, the unit is coordinating with local authorities to evacuate 210 households with 836 people in Tr'hy, Gary, and Ch'Ơm communes of Tay Giang district, areas at risk of landslides, to safe locations according to local plans.
On the same day, the Quang Nam Provincial Department of Transport announced that the impact of the storm caused trees to fall on National Highway 14H, specifically the section passing through Nam Phuoc town (Duy Xuyen district).
Some provincial roads, such as DT603B and DT615, are flooded with water about 30cm deep, making traffic difficult.
On provincial road DT609 (Ma Cooih commune, Dong Giang district), landslides occurred, with soil and rocks spilling onto half of the road surface in several locations from Km67 to Km69.
Authorities are currently directing traffic and ensuring smooth flow on the remaining half lane.
8:00 AM: The storm hasn't arrived yet, but trees are already falling.
According to our reporter's observations, at 7:50 this morning in Da Nang , before Typhoon Trami made landfall, the streets were quite deserted with few people and vehicles passing by.
Earlier, successive gusts of wind had caused trees along many roads to fall, and street signs, barriers, and other traffic signs were also knocked down or displaced.
The coastal areas of Son Tra and Ngu Hanh Son districts are experiencing strong gusts of wind. On Vo Nguyen Giap coastal road, the wind was so strong that street name signs were knocked down.
Large trees have also fallen in the city center. Currently, the power system in the city center has been shut off to ensure safety during the storm.
Earlier, the Da Nang City People's Committee issued a directive requesting residents to limit leaving their homes from 10:00 AM on October 27th to ensure safety.
6:00 AM: Strong winds begin to affect Quang Nam and Da Nang.
In the early morning of October 27th, due to the influence of Typhoon Trami, Quang Nam and Da Nang experienced heavy rain and strong gusts of wind.
At Cu Lao Cham Island, at 5:10 AM, there were strong winds of force 8 (17.3 m/s), and the sea was extremely rough. Large waves, several meters high, continuously crashed against the shore.
At 5 am this morning, the area around Cu Lao Cham island experienced strong winds of level 8.
In the harbor area of Cu Lao Cham, even though the boats are securely moored and anchored, they still bob up and down with each large wave.
By 6 AM, inland areas in Da Nang and Quang Nam were also experiencing heavy rain accompanied by strong, gusty winds.
According to the Quang Nam Provincial Meteorological and Hydrological Station, Typhoon Trami is currently about 110km east-northeast of the mainland, with winds of force 9-10, gusting to force 12.

Over the next 3 hours, the storm will move in a west-southwest direction at a speed of approximately 15 km/h.
According to the National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting, it is predicted that this morning, Typhoon Trami will make landfall in the central provinces of Vietnam (Quang Tri, Thua Thien Hue, Da Nang, Quang Nam, Quang Ngai ).
The mainland area of Quang Nam province experienced strong gusts of wind accompanied by heavy rain at 6 am this morning.
At 10 am this morning, the storm's center was over land along the coastal provinces of Central Vietnam.
The storm then changed direction, moving southeast towards the sea off the coast of Quang Nam and Quang Ngai provinces, and gradually weakened into a tropical depression.
By 4 AM tomorrow (October 28th), the tropical depression will be located over the central coast of Vietnam. Afterward, the tropical depression will continue to move eastward towards the Hoang Sa archipelago and weaken into a low-pressure area.
