Mr. Nguyen Duc Loi, Permanent Vice President of the Vietnam Journalists Association, Chairman of the Preliminary Council of the 19th National Press Awards, emphasized that this year's National Press Awards is the 19th season accompanying the life of journalism, becoming a useful professional activity, spreading widely in all levels of the association, in the press community and increasingly affirming its reputation as the most prestigious professional award for journalists nationwide.
According to the Permanent Vice President of the Vietnam Journalists Association, there are currently many press awards, in addition to the large professional playground, the National Press Award. However, through the seasons, this is still considered a prestigious playground, receiving great attention. This shows the strong attraction of the Award and the interest and positive response of the Journalists Association at all levels, especially at a time when press agencies are focusing on organizing and rearranging according to the revolution of streamlining the apparatus of the Party and State.
Affirming that the Preliminary round is important in selecting worthy works for the Final round, Permanent Vice President of the Vietnam Journalists Association Nguyen Duc Loi suggested that the Preliminary Council focus on the works, not on the authors or the authors' units, to be most objective and select the highest quality works.
"This year, the Preliminary Judging Round has many new things when there are leaders of units, press agencies, reporters, editors, both male and female; there are familiar members and new members. These are all the best representatives to participate in judging the National Press Awards. I believe that the Preliminary Judging Council, with a sense of responsibility, impartiality, and transparency, will work actively, select excellent press works, ensure progress and quality, and contribute to continuing to affirm and spread the meaning and value of the National Press Awards" - Journalist Nguyen Duc Loi emphasized.
