Department of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs: Deploying tasks in 2024

On January 4, the Department of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs (DOLISA) held a conference to review labor, meritorious people and social affairs in 2023 and deploy plans and tasks for 2024. Comrade Nguyen Long Bien, member of the Provincial Party Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee attended and delivered a speech at the conference.

In 2023, with the timely attention and direction of the Provincial Party Committee, the Provincial People's Committee and the efforts and determination of all cadres and civil servants, the Department of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs has achieved many positive results. During the year, the whole province created new jobs for 18,084 people; sent 171 people to work abroad for a limited period under contracts, exceeding the set target. Recruited and trained 10,994 people, reaching 115.73% of the plan. Poverty reduction work was carried out with many practical solutions, the poverty reduction results were substantial, the poverty rate of the whole province decreased to 1.72%. The payment of subsidies to social protection beneficiaries was fully implemented. Along with that, the industry also coordinated with all levels and authorities to implement policies and organize activities to care for and protect children, especially children in particularly difficult circumstances. Actively mobilize resources to join hands to take care of the material and spiritual life of people with revolutionary contributions, and carry out well the activities of "repaying gratitude"...

Speaking at the conference, the Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee acknowledged and commended the results achieved by the Department of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs in 2023. At the same time, he requested the industry to focus on strongly developing the labor market, strengthening the connection between labor supply and demand in the market; actively protect the legitimate interests of workers, especially in terms of social insurance, health insurance and unemployment insurance. Continue to advise on the effective implementation of the national target program on sustainable poverty reduction, the plan to build a livelihood model for each commune, ward and town and the Housing Support Project for poor and near-poor households in the period of 2023-2025. Continue to fully, promptly and properly implement the regimes and policies for people with revolutionary contributions and social protection beneficiaries, and take care of Tet for the poor. Synchronously deploy solutions to build a safe, friendly and healthy living environment for children...

On this occasion, the Ministry of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs awarded the Medal "For the Cause of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs" to 10 individuals. The Provincial People's Committee awarded certificates of merit to 1 collective and 1 individual for excellently completing their tasks in 2023.
