On the morning of July 10, Comrade Tran Cam Tu, Politburo member, Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Chairman of the Central Inspection Commission chaired a national online conference to review the Party's inspection, supervision and discipline enforcement work in the first 6 months of the year and deploy tasks for the last 6 months of 2024.

According to the report at the conference, in the first 6 months of 2024, the work of inspection, supervision and enforcement of Party discipline was organized and implemented strictly, closely following the inspection and supervision program and plan for 2024. The content of inspection and supervision was organized and implemented in a comprehensive, extensive, focused and key manner, focusing on prominent and pressing issues in society, issues of public concern, specialized and closed fields. The work of handling complaints and denunciations in the field of inspection, supervision and enforcement of Party discipline was organized and implemented promptly, in accordance with procedures and regulations, contributing to maintaining Party discipline and discipline, improving the effectiveness and efficiency of leadership and direction of Party committees and organizations; helping inspected and supervised Party organizations and Party members clearly recognize violations and shortcomings in order to correct and overcome them, contributing to consolidating and enhancing the trust of cadres, Party members and the People.

In the first 6 months of 2024, Party committees at all levels inspected 18,476 Party organizations and 107,165 Party members. Through inspection, it was concluded that 631 Party organizations and 1,767 Party members had violations and shortcomings. The Politburo and the Secretariat established 10 inspection teams led by Politburo members and Party Central Committee Secretaries to inspect 20 Party organizations. Party committees at all levels inspected 131 Party organizations and 922 Party members when there were signs of violations. Through inspection, it was concluded that 89 Party organizations and 804 Party members had violations and shortcomings; 43 Party organizations and 584 Party members were considered for disciplinary action, and 26 Party organizations and 497 Party members were disciplined.

Inspection committees at all levels inspected 804 party organizations and 2,850 party members when there were signs of violations; concluded that 613 party organizations and 2,390 party members had violations and shortcomings; disciplined 60 party organizations and 910 party members.

Also in the 6 months, Party committees at all levels and Party cells supervised 11,771 Party organizations and 42,905 Party members; concluded that 353 Party organizations and 778 Party members had violations and shortcomings; referred 8 Party organizations and 42 Party members for inspection when there were signs of violations. Inspection committees at all levels supervised 8,733 Party organizations and 12,890 Party members, including 8,601 Party Committee members. Through supervision, concluded that 635 Party organizations and 551 Party members had violations and shortcomings; referred 16 Party organizations and 25 Party members for inspection when there were signs of violations. Party committees at all levels and Party cells disciplined 165 Party organizations and 7,858 Party members, including 1,636 Party Committee members. Inspection committees at all levels have disciplined 143 party organizations and 3,147 party members.

At the conference, the discussion focused on clarifying some difficulties and obstacles in the work of inspection, supervision and enforcement of Party discipline in localities and units. At the same time, it was proposed that the Central Committee have solutions to remove them and provide more specific guidance, such as: assigning staff for the inspection sector should be based on position and job, and reducing staff appropriately, avoiding mechanical and equal staff reduction, affecting the performance of tasks of the sector and locality.

Review and amend to ensure consistency in regulations on verifying declarations of personal assets and income, especially regulations on subjects subject to asset and income control; the work of examining and verifying assets of party members and officials in other provinces and cities. Organize more training programs to equip professional knowledge for the team of officials doing inspection work in specialized fields....

Concluding the conference, Chairman of the Central Inspection Commission Tran Cam Tu highly appreciated the results achieved in the inspection, supervision and discipline enforcement work of the Party in the first 6 months of 2024. He affirmed that with the spirit of no forbidden zones, no exceptions, Party committees at all levels and inspection committees at all levels have strived to fulfill their assigned tasks well, contributing to maintaining Party discipline, building an increasingly clean and strong Party, consolidating and enhancing the people's trust... At the same time, he pointed out a number of limitations and shortcomings that need to be urgently overcome.

He suggested that in the last 6 months of the year, Party committees, Party organizations, and inspection committees at all levels, especially leaders, continue to be proactive and determined in leading, directing, and organizing the implementation of inspection work and Party discipline enforcement. Proactively advise, coordinate, and promptly and effectively carry out tasks assigned by the Central Executive Committee, the Politburo, the Secretariat, Party committees at all levels, the Central Steering Committee, and provincial steering committees on corruption prevention and control. Coordinate and advise on the effective implementation of tasks assigned by the Subcommittees and Working Groups serving the 14th National Party Congress, especially personnel appraisal; give opinions on personnel work, emulation, and rewards for subordinate Party organizations and cadres under the management of Party committees.
