In the 2023-2024 school year, the education and training sector has overcome difficulties and basically completed the key tasks and solutions set out. Investment in building facilities and purchasing teaching equipment has been focused on standardization and modernization. To date, the province has 160 schools meeting national standards. The work of universalizing education and eliminating illiteracy continues to receive attention, creating favorable conditions to mobilize the maximum number of school-age children.

The quality of mass education, especially key education, has been improved with 27 awards in the national cultural competition for excellent students, nearly double that of the previous school year. The teaching staff basically meets the requirements of current education and training innovation. Policies for teachers and learners are fully and promptly implemented. Digital transformation and application of information technology in management, direction and operation, and in teaching and learning activities continue to be promoted throughout the sector.
Speaking at the conference, the Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee acknowledged and highly appreciated the efforts and results achieved by the education and training sector in the past school year; pointed out a number of difficulties and limitations that need to be overcome. Regarding the key tasks of the 2024-2025 school year, he requested the education and training sector to focus on carefully preparing the necessary conditions for the new school year and well organizing the opening ceremony of the 2024-2025 school year on September 5, creating a joyful and exciting atmosphere; continue to well implement the policy on fundamental and comprehensive innovation of education and training; promptly direct the implementation of education and training development policies in the province, ensuring the highest completion of the set goals, targets, key and breakthrough tasks.

He also requested the sector to strengthen state management of education and training; innovate educational methods; continue to review the network of schools and teachers; increase investment resources for education and training; promote the socialization of education, build policies and mechanisms to attract and encourage society to invest in developing high-quality schools at all levels and training levels, develop non-public educational institutions according to social needs; fully and promptly implement policies for teachers and learners; develop a sufficient number of cadres and teachers and improve their quality; strengthen political and ideological education, revolutionary tradition education for students; strengthen inspection, examination and handling of violations in the field of education and training; strengthen international integration, promote digital transformation and administrative reform throughout the sector.
