At 9:00 p.m. on April 21, while performing patrol and control duties at sea, patrol team No. 3, fishing control ship KN 508 of the Fisheries Control Sub-Department of Region V received a request. rescue of fishermen at sea from fishing vessel KG-95667-TS.

According to information received at 8:00 p.m. on April 21, fisherman Ha Viet Toan, born in 1999, Nguyen Phi Khanh ward, Rach Gia city, Kien Giang province, while collecting nets, suddenly the winch chain broke and flew hard into his head, causing serious injury.

Immediately after receiving the distress call from fishing boat KG-95667-TS, the Fisheries Surveillance Department of Region V mobilized a fisheries surveillance ship to move and approach the victim to bring the fisherman onto the first aid ship. After first aid, the Fisheries Surveillance Department of Region V's ship sailed through the night to bring the fisherman to An Thoi Port, Phu Quoc Island.

At 8:00 a.m. on April 22, the fisheries surveillance ship docked at An Thoi International Port. The Fisheries Surveillance Sub-Department of Region 5 handed over the fisherman to his family and the Phu Quoc City Medical Rescue Center for further treatment.
