Skoda Elroq - The fastest electric SUV will replace Karoq in Vietnam

The new Skoda Elroq 2026 is an electric SUV that was first introduced in October 2024. This is also the model that will gradually replace the position of its senior Skoda Karoq in the market. After half a year of its launch, the Skoda Elroq has been supplemented with a high-performance version vRS.

True to the style of the Skoda Elroq vRS version , the car has been strongly upgraded in terms of capacity as well as interior and exterior design. As the most advanced version in the Skoda Elroq line, the vRS has an increased capacity of 52 horsepower compared to the standard version thanks to the combination of 2 electric motors.

The total capacity of the car reaches 340 horsepower, combined with the all-wheel drive system, helping the Skoda Elroq vRS accelerate from 0-100 km/h in just 5.4 seconds, 1.2 seconds faster than the regular version. In addition, Skoda also equipped 2 engine sound simulation modes for the Elroq vRS, including Sport and Futuristic.

In addition, the Skoda Elroq vRS also uses an 84 kWh battery, providing a range of 550 km according to the WLTP standard. Compared to the previously launched Skoda Elroq 85, the vehicle's range is reduced by 32 km despite using the same battery. In return, the Elroq vRS is Skoda's fastest charging model to date.

With a 185 kW DC fast charger, the battery can be charged from 10% to 80% in just 26 minutes. The charging time from 0% to 100% with an 11 kW AC slow charger is 8 hours. In addition to the powerful powertrain, the Skoda Elroq vRS is also equipped with a stiffer sports chassis, suspension lowered by 15 mm at the front and 10 mm at the rear.

The steering system has also been tweaked for a sportier look, and the front brakes with 2-piston calipers improve performance. In terms of design, the Skoda Elroq vRS retains most of the lines of the standard version. Of course, the car has also been supplemented with many outstanding details such as the signature Mamba Green paint color.

In addition, there is a radiator grille with integrated lights, a refined front bumper with body-coloured details, honeycomb air intakes, vRS logos on the fenders with Skoda logo and black roof racks. This high-performance version is also equipped with Matrix LED headlights, standard 20-inch alloy wheels or optional 21-inch with a bespoke design, an all-black rear bumper with extended reflector strip, and dark rear glass.

The interior of the Skoda Elroq vRS stands out with green decorative details, along with Alcantara material on the dashboard, seats, center console, armrests and many other locations.

The 5-inch digital instrument cluster and 13-inch infotainment screen both have unique graphics for the vRS. A head-up display with augmented reality technology is optional.

Some other notable features of the vRS version include electric/heated/massage front seats, interior decorative lighting, 4 USB Type C fast charging ports, wireless charging and an optional 12-speaker 675W sound system. The price of the 2026 Skoda Elroq vRS is expected to be announced after its global launch this summer.
