(Dan Tri) - The image of students from Fujian University of Technology (Fuzhou city, China) lining up in front of a bakery has moved public opinion in this country.
The bakery owner, Mr. Hu Weiguang (54 years old), is in a difficult situation. His wife has just been diagnosed with breast cancer. Mr. Hu's stall is the only source of income for the couple. Previously, the couple used to sell goods together, but now, his son Hu Jiaming (21 years old) is helping him.
The young man asked to put his university studies on hold to help his father sell goods while his family was facing a crisis.

Noticing the unusual change, female student Gao Ying asked Mr. Hu and his father and learned that Mr. Hu's wife had begun cancer treatment, her health had declined so much that she could no longer sell goods with her husband. Currently, Mr. Hu's family needs about 10,000 yuan (equivalent to 35.5 million VND) each month for his wife's treatment.
Since learning about the incident, Gao Ying has been asking for the hamburgers, which are the most expensive items in Mr. Hu’s stall. Gao Ying shared the story on social media and hoped that other students would come to support Mr. Hu’s stall, so that he could earn more money to treat his wife’s illness.
Gao Ying’s post quickly went viral online. Not only students from Fujian University of Technology, but also students from nearby schools came to Mr. Hu’s bakery to buy cakes to support him. At one point, students lined up more than 100 meters in front of Mr. Hu’s bakery, creating a phenomenon that attracted the attention of the local media and public.
When the touching story of the students’ kindness to Mr. Hu was mentioned by the Chinese media, more and more people came to buy cakes, share and encourage Mr. Hu. Everyone patiently waited in line. Many people bought cakes and donated money to help Mr. Hu’s family in difficult times.
Mr. Hu said that in the past, his stall sold about 1,000 yuan worth of goods (equivalent to 3.5 million VND) per day. Currently, daily sales have increased to more than 4,000 yuan (equivalent to more than 14 million VND).
Through interviews, Mr. Hu's family has repeatedly expressed gratitude to the community, especially students studying at universities near where he sells goods.

Mr. Hu said he would only accept the amount of money he needed each month to pay for his wife’s medical treatment and family expenses. When he saw that the profit was more than he needed, he would donate it to Fujian University of Technology every month. He hoped that in this way, he and his kind customers could help students in need.
Mr. Hu’s bakery has long been a regular patron of Fujian University of Technology students, thanks to its low prices. Each cake he sells costs between 4 and 7 yuan (equivalent to 14,000 and 25,000 VND).
Since Mr. Hu’s bakery began receiving a large number of customers, three other bakers have volunteered to help Mr. Hu and his son prepare ingredients and cook. They hope to share the work with Mr. Hu and his son, so that the two can reduce the hardship of having to earn a living while caring for a seriously ill relative.
Surrounding this touching story, many people expressed their emotions towards the kind-hearted students who were willing to wait in line for several hours to support Mr. Hu. It was thanks to the good deeds of the students that Mr. Hu's story was mentioned by the media and continued to spread more widely. Thanks to that, Mr. Hu's family received more support.
