Hanoi Medical University students banned for first time from wearing low-cut shirts and short skirts

Hanoi Medical University stipulates that students are not allowed to wear dirty, sloppy, see-through clothing, or clothing with offensive drawings or writings that are not suitable for theeducational environment, not in accordance with Vietnamese customs and traditions, and contrary to the provisions of law.

Pants, short skirts that expose the knees, low-rise pants/skirts, jeans with torn knees, thighs and hems; Low-cut shirts, tank tops, short shirts that reach the waist; Sandals without back straps; Clothing that is contrary to the specific regulations of each specific activity; Hair dyed in bright, colorful colors.

Students will be deducted from 1 to 3 training points for each violation of the dress code that is reminded and reviewed. Depending on the level of violation and the impact of the violation, students may be subject to disciplinary action ranging from reprimand to warning in front of the whole school.

In addition, the School also stipulates: Regarding traditional uniforms, students wear the school's summer/winter/ sports uniform depending on the season and activity, dark pants (for women, they can wear dark skirts with a length above the knee), wear shoes or sandals with straps, and wear student ID cards.

Students wear traditional uniforms at school-organized events or activities that gather school students to participate in at other agencies and organizations.

Regarding other uniforms, when participating in laboratory, practice, and community practice: Students wear blouses, student ID cards, keep fingernails short, and wear masks when in contact with patients.

When attending National Defense Education, students wear uniforms according to specific regulations of the teaching unit.

When participating in club, group, team, or group activities: Students must wear their own club, group, team, or group uniform according to the regulations of the Youth Union and Student Association.

According to the school, the regulation aims to raise students' sense of responsibility in protecting school security, arouse and develop student pride, promote the school's image, and contribute to building a healthy cultural environment in schools.
