Can Tho students call for investment capital for startup projects

Projects aiming at environmentally friendly products and equipment, with high feasibility of Can Tho students, also call for more investment capital from businesses to expand production scale.

On November 8, Can Tho City Youth Union and Vietnam Youth Union of Can Tho City coordinated with units to organize the final round of the Can Tho 2024 youth startup idea and project search contest.

Out of many projects in the preliminary and semi-final rounds, the 5 best projects were selected for the final round - projects that were conceived by the students themselves and realized based on the professional advice of their teachers.

Mr. Tran Viet Tuan - Deputy Secretary of Can Tho City Youth Union, head of the contest's organizing committee - said that the contest aims to encourage the entrepreneurial spirit of young people, promote youth and creativity in turning ideas into practical projects and products.

"Through the competition, we can also demonstrate the courage of Can Tho's young people to dare to think and dare to do, as well as create a bridge to better connect students' ideas and projects with companies and businesses," said Mr. Tuan.

In the final round, the students presented the feasibility and profitability of the project as well as the customer segment and potential economic profit to the competition's jury and called for additional investment capital from 40 - 200 million VND/project.
