To study this project, the research team based on a survey conducted at Ho Chi Minh City National University Dormitory through the Dormitory Management Center software for all Ho Chi Minh City National University students living and studying here.

The survey received more than 21,655 responses from students of member universities living in dormitories. It showed that the majority of students have free time from two to four hours per day (accounting for 66.71%); 22.95% of students have free time from one to two hours per day; 10% of students have less than one hour of free time.

Research shows that students mainly spend their free time resting, relaxing and entertaining themselves with activities such as watching movies, listening to music, and using social networks. These are the most chosen activities, and show the need to relax and reduce stress after stressful hours of studying.

For the study on satisfaction with college life, students feel satisfied with their current college life, especially the balance between study and extracurricular activities.

In terms of learning effectiveness, in the university environment, students face many pressures during their studies. Most students feel pressure when comparing themselves with their friends and exam pressure. This shows "peer pressure" in the university environment. Overcoming the above difficulties, students still maintain their confidence and determination to study through feeling that they can make progress and achieve good results if they try hard.

Regarding the relationship between leisure time use and academic performance and satisfaction with university life, the analysis showed that students' positive intentions for their leisure time play an important role in enhancing their satisfaction with university life.

The research team concluded that, in general, students were satisfied with university life at Ho Chi Minh City National University, the quality of facilities, and the support of departments and lecturers at a level similar to that of universities in developed countries.

Through this, the research team suggests that students are giving priority to recreational activities, but not focusing on personal development activities. Therefore, students need to pay attention to the balance between rest, entertainment and personal development.

Take the initiative to refer to the study schedule to build a study plan, improve skills in short-term and long-term periods. At the same time, participate in training courses or specialized reporting sessions on free time management, and other important skills.

For universities, encourage students to form study groups to promote exchange and connection between students. In addition, schools can also integrate or build skills activities into compulsory extracurricular activities to increase the effectiveness of reaching students.
