Thematic activities contribute to protecting the Party's ideological foundation - Lang Son Newspaper and Radio and Television Station

- In recent times, Party committees and Party cells across the province have focused on innovation and improving the quality of Party cell activities in general and thematic activities in particular. Paying attention to improving the quality of Party cell activities is a fundamental task, a "fundamental task" to enhance the leadership capacity and fighting strength of grassroots Party organizations, contributing to firmly protecting the Party's ideological foundation.

According to Instruction No. 09 dated May 29, 2019 of the Provincial Party Committee on "Some issues on improving the quality of Party cell activities and criteria for assessing the quality of Party cell activities", for thematic activities, each quarter the Party cell organizes activities at least once according to the following groups of issues: studying and following Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality and lifestyle; implementing resolutions, directives, regulations of the Party, laws of the State; solutions to prevent, combat, overcome and correct signs of degradation in political ideology, morality, lifestyle, signs of "self-evolution", "self-transformation"; educating revolutionary traditions, traditions of localities, agencies and units for cadres and Party members...

The Party Cell of Bac Son District Forest Protection Department organized a thematic meeting at the K9 - Da Chong Historical Relic Site (Ba Vi District, Hanoi City) in August 2024.

Following the instructions, district, city and affiliated party committees have thoroughly grasped and directed the implementation in party cells with content and form suitable to the characteristics of the situation.

For example, at the end of October 2024, the Provincial Party Committee's Internal Affairs Committee organized a thematic meeting at the Hoang Van Thu Memorial Site. Here, party members learned about the background, life, and career of comrade Hoang Van Thu, expressing their respect and deep gratitude for his great contributions to the Vietnamese revolutionary cause. At the same time, party members also raised important solutions in cultivating and training revolutionary ethics for cadres and party members.

Or at the Rung Dong village Party cell, Dong Tan commune, Huu Lung district. From 2024 to now, the Party cell has organized 4 thematic activities related to studying and following Ho Chi Minh's ideology on Party building and rectification; solutions to prevent signs of degradation in political ideology, ethics, lifestyle, "self-evolution", "self-transformation"...

Mr. Pham Thanh Chung, Party Cell Secretary, Head of Rung Dong Village said: At the thematic activities, we have propagated and educated, thoroughly grasped the views and thoughts of President Ho Chi Minh to Party members, told stories about him or organized tours to red addresses, places with political and ideological educational significance. For example, at the end of 2024, the Party Cell organized a visit and study at the Military Museum, then wrote a summary stating thoughts, feelings and commitments to fulfill the responsibilities of Party members, actively contributing to the construction and development of the homeland.

According to statistics, the province currently has 443 grassroots party cells and more than 3,200 party cells directly under the grassroots party committees. Every year, each party cell organizes from 4 to 6 thematic activities/year. The thematic activities are carried out seriously and scientifically from the selection of content to the organization. The good implementation of the thematic activities contributes to raising awareness for party members, helping party members to practice, strive, improve their moral qualities, bravery, uphold responsibility, actively participate in the task of protecting the Party's ideological foundation, and fight against the wrong views of hostile forces.

According to Mr. Nguyen Van Hai, Head of the Party Organization and Party Member Department, Provincial Party Committee Organization Board, in recent times, the organization and implementation of regular activities in general and thematic activities in particular have been seriously implemented by grassroots party organizations, ensuring quantity and quality. Through this, it contributes to equipping party members with knowledge and skills to identify and respond to information, enhancing the "resistance" of cadres and party members against plots, tricks and sabotage activities of hostile and reactionary forces in the new situation. At the same time, participating in thematic activities, party members are able to discuss, speak, express their views, contribute ideas, and propose solutions to effectively carry out tasks in the coming time.

The attention paid to organizing thematic meetings has improved the quality of Party cell activities, contributing to improving the leadership capacity and fighting strength of Party organizations. Since the beginning of the term, the annual rate of grassroots Party organizations completing their tasks well or better has reached an average of over 94% (exceeding 4% compared to the target set by the 17th Provincial Party Congress resolution); the annual rate of Party cells directly under the grassroots Party Committee and Party cells directly under the Party Committee of the department completing their tasks well or better has reached an average of over 93%.

It can be seen that the thematic activities have been focused on and improved in quality, making important contributions to building a strong Party organization, helping to firmly protect the Party's ideological foundation, creating solidarity and unity within the Party, consensus in society, and strengthening the trust of cadres, Party members and the People in the Party.
