Mr. Jacobo Perez Polaino shares about Sika's development strategies with Vietnamese media
Sika Vietnam representative said that within 5 years (2018 - 2023), Sika has implemented more than 20 global mergers and acquisitions, adding 10,000 new employees out of a total of 33,000 employees worldwide, expecting to achieve an annual growth rate of 6-9%.
In parallel with team development, Sika aims for sustainable development through environmentally responsible production. The company is committed to reducing greenhouse gas emissions by 20%, reducing natural resources in waste treatment by 15% and the amount of water discharged per ton of goods sold, ensuring that all products meet the SPM quality criteria according to the model of the World Business Council. In Vietnam, Sika is also committed to working with the Government to bring net emissions to zero by 2050.
Mr. Jacobo Perez Polaino, General Director of Sika Vietnam shared: "From such requirements, Sika's team in the local market will always have emission reduction projects. At the same time, to ensure implementation, every year all Sika headquarters with factories will have to report to the group, and if there are problems or the numbers are not achieved, we must have plans to catch up with the group's requirements...".
"We always have specific measurements in our sustainability responsibilities. Sika measures the results achieved in total emissions in 2023, combined with the expected figures based on the new product lines that we will launch in the market in 2024, along with the improvements Sika will achieve in 2024. From there, we will have specific emission reduction figures in 2024. All of this will support us in making directions to help Sika improve the use of raw materials or production processes in the following years", Mr. Jacobo Perez Polaino shared more.
